Build a scored quiz as a Formzed form: add up points with a formula, show a live score and a result band, and keep every score with its answers. Try the sample below.

    A sample quiz

Scored by the same formula code that runs on Formzed forms.

Which planet is closest to the sun?
How many minutes are in two and a half hours?
At sea level, water boils at...

    Your score

    0/3

    Pick an answer to start

    Formula: {planet} + {minutes} + {boil}

Bands: 0-1 Keep practicing, 2 Nearly there, 3 Full marks. Each right answer is worth 1 point.

What a Formzed quiz can do

    Scores from a formula
Add a Calculated field and write the score as a formula over other answers: +, -, *, /, comparisons, and round, floor, ceil, abs, min, max, sum and if. For example, if({age} >= 18, 1, 0).
    Result bands
Name score ranges, like 0 to 4 Keep practicing, 5 to 7 Good and 8 and up Expert. The band shows under the score.
    A live score
The score updates on the form as people answer. When they submit, Formzed works it out again from the answers and stores it, so the saved number always matches.
    Points per answer
Number, rating, scale and NPS answers go into a formula as they are. Choice questions score through points per answer: turn on “Score answers” in the builder.
    Questions that depend on answers
Conditional logic shows or hides questions based on earlier answers. Hidden questions count as blank in the score.
    A time limit
Give the whole quiz a time limit with a visible countdown and a warning before time runs out.
    One question per screen
Pick the Single Field design to show one question at a time, the way most quizzes feel.
    Scores kept with responses
Each response stores its score next to the answers, so you can review and export results.

Make a quiz in four steps

    1. Create a form and add your questions. On each choice question, turn on "Score answers" and give the right answer its points. Then add a Calculated question and press "Add up scored questions".
    2. Add a Calculated field and write the score, such as {q1} + {q2} + {q3}. Insert each question from the field list instead of typing its id.
    3. Add result bands, set the decimal places, and choose whether a blank answer counts as 0.
    4. Publish and share the link, or embed the quiz on your site.

    Questions about quizzes in Formzed

Can Formzed mark answers right or wrong?
Yes, with points. Give the right option 1 point and the others 0, then add the points up in a calculated field. Turn on “Score answers” on a choice question in the builder to give each answer points; number, rating, scale and NPS answers can be used in a formula as they are.
Where does the respondent see their score?
On the form itself. The calculated field updates as they answer and shows the result band under it, so they see it before they submit. The thank-you page shows your own title and message, not the score.
Can people change the score before submitting?
No. Formzed works the score out again on the server when the form is submitted, from the answers, and stores that number. A value typed in by hand is never trusted.
